'Moot' is an original hand carved and hand printed linocut - a depiction of the traditional Welsh folk character Mari Lwyd, a decorated horse skull. There are different incarnations of this across the UK and in Norfolk Pagan tradition, this character or 'oss' is called the Ickeny.
This linocut print is an edition of 50, therefore only 50 prints will exist in the world. It is signed, titled and numbered by the Artist.
The print is A4 in size (21cm by 29.7cm approx.) and the paper is a lovely off-white Japanese HoSho paper. It has deckled edges and will arrive unframed and unmounted.
Linocut is a type of traditional relief printmaking whereby designs are carved by hand into lino blocks - the block is then inked with professional standard ink, paper applied on top and it is then pressed by hand.
This linocut is an original and is carefully hand printed in Norwich. The copyright of this print is retained by the Artist.
