'Faith' is an original hand carved and hand printed linocut. It’s the first storybook type print in what I hope will become a series - it’s inspired by my journey to become a full-time Artist and taking a leap of faith with other things I have faced in life. The hand carved letters I composed beneath the scene say… ‘You cannot see where you are heading!’ bird cried. ‘I do not need to’ she replied. The print to me is a reminder that sometimes you have to trust in what you cannot see and take a leap of faith.
This linocut print is an edition of 30, therefore only 30 prints will exist in the world. It is signed, titled and numbered by the Artist.
The print is A4 in size (21cm by 29.7cm approx.) and the paper is a lovely off-white Japanese HoSho paper. It has deckled edges and will arrive unframed and unmounted.
Linocut is a type of traditional relief printmaking whereby designs are carved by hand into lino blocks - the block is then inked with professional standard ink, paper applied on top and it is then pressed by hand.
This linocut is an original and is carefully hand printed in Norwich. The copyright of this print is retained by the Artist.
