'The Visitor' - Medieval castle - man leading a horse - limited edition linocut print by hand

'The Visitor' is an original hand carved and hand printed linocut born from my fascination with Medieval history. Parts of the original design were glimpsed in an antique bookplate from the British Library - the design developed from there until it became this linocut print. There is a tiny man leading a horse on the distant shoreline in this print - who is he and where has he come from? This is the visitor.

This linocut print is an edition of 30, therefore only 30 prints will exist in the world. It is signed, titled and numbered by the Artist.

The print is A4 in size (21cm by 29.7cm approx.) and the paper is a professional white Somerset. It has deckled edges and will arrive unframed and unmounted.

Linocut is a type of traditional relief printmaking whereby designs are carved by hand into lino blocks - the block is then inked with professional standard ink, paper applied on top and it is then pressed by hand.

This linocut is an original and is carefully hand printed in Norwich. The copyright of this print is retained by the Artist.
