'Alchemy' - Medieval woodblock inspired linocut print - witchcraft limited edition

'Alchemy' is an original hand carved and hand printed linocut inspired by garden witchcraft and herbal knowledge, created in a Medieval woodblock style. I've always been intrigued by the black and white woodblocks created during the witch craze in early Modern Europe - this is my interpretation of that style of traditional printmaking.

This linocut print is an edition of 100, therefore only 100 prints will exist in the world. It is signed, titled and numbered by the Artist.

The print is 18cm by 23cm and the paper is a lovely tanned coloured Kitakata paper. It has deckled edges and will arrive unframed and unmounted.

Linocut is a type of traditional relief printmaking whereby designs are carved by hand into lino blocks - the block is then inked with professional standard ink, paper applied on top and it is then pressed by hand.

This linocut is an original and is carefully hand printed in Norwich. The copyright of this print is retained by the Artist.
