This is a hand printed linocut print called 'The Standoff'.

It's inspired by the cats that womble through my garden having encounters with snails and various insects. I imagined this one to be a Wild West style standoff between a cat and a snail as he slowly crawled towards him.

It’s a limited edition print of 30. It is numbered, signed and titled.

This print measures approximately 9 inches by 6 inches and comes in an A4 white mount so it's ready to frame.

It's been printed on Japanese HoSho paper using a wooden spoon and small baren.

Linocut is a form of relief printmaking whereby designs are carved into a block of linoleum. As all linocut prints are original, they are all unique and have slight variations.
