This is a hand printed linocut print called 'Give us one'.

It was inspired by my stepdaughter's University project studying animal behavious where she would go to the local park and feed monkey nuts to the squirrels and they would climb right up her leg! It's using a technique I've not used before- hashing with close lines to represent a background. I used Japanese vinyl for this block, too, as it is a firmer material that can hold fine lines well.

It’s a limited edition print of 40. It is numbered, signed and titled.

This print does not come framed or mounted but is A4 size so is easily framed once you receive it.

It's been printed on Japanese HoSho (off-white) paper using a wooden spoon and small baren.

Linocut is a form of relief printmaking whereby designs are carved into a block of linoleum. As all linocut prints are original, they are all unique and have slight variations.

Thank you for looking.
